How does a Satellite launch into space?

Satellite is sent into the space on the top of the rocket and when rocket crosses the earth atmosphere and take the satellite in outer space in its desired place then it is said that the satellite is launched.

The rocket that take the satellite out in the space or that used to launch a satellite is called a Launch vehicle. There are number of space launch vehicles of different countries. Here is the list.USA have the highest number of launch vehicle till today.

The satellite is launched with different stages of launch vehicle.

At the very first stage of launch vehicle, where there is rocket and fuel. The first stage is used to lift the launch vehicle off the ground into the sky.And in this stage large amount of power and fuel is needed because at the time of lift off there is hundred of tons of weight and it requires a initial velocity or push ( as it started from rest). So  The First stage is larger one and this lift the launch vehicle off from the ground.

After all the fuel has been used up the first stage is no longer needed ,So it breaks off and falls to the ground (in an safe area far from locality).

Then after the first stage rocket separates off then  the second stage rockets come into work. They are smaller rockets as compared to first one and they ignite immediate after the first stage is finished. These rockets increase the velocity and used to send the satellite into the space crossing the earth atmosphere. It breaks off like former rockets when there fuel has been used up and burns in the earth atmosphere.

The upper stage or last stage is itself connected to the satellite and both are enclosed in a metal shield called a fairing.

Fairing is the protective shield that helps the satellite and upper stage  from the resistance of the earth atmosphere.Once the satellite is in the space or goes out from the earth atmosphere fairing splits apart and burns in the earth atmosphere.

Then the rockets of upper stage fire and send the satellite to the place where it is needed. Then  it separates from the upper stage after it is sent into the transfer orbit where it is sent higher into space to its desired orbital height. After it reaches its exact position it unfurls its solar panels and communication antennas which have been stored away during the flight.

Then the satellite takes its position in orbit with other satellites and ready to provide communication to the public.
